A little information about the coaches. Weston Butt: This will be Coach Butt's 1st year of coaching. He played MV lax for two years on defense and was team captain on the 2001 team. He is currently attending junior college and will coach the Middle school team.
Art Clark: This will be Coach Clark's 4th year of coaching. He is an experienced goalie, having played high school lacrosse in NEW YORK, college lacrosse at the University of Connecticut, and club lacrosse in Seattle with the Mt. Rainier lacrosse club. He will coach the A team and all the goalies.
Travis Cornelison: This will be Coach Cornelison's 1st year of coaching. He played Mv lax for 2 years at midfield and was team captain on the 2001 team. He is currently attending junior college and will coach the Middle school team.
Cody Kunning: This will be coach Kunning 1st year coaching. He played MV lax for two years on defense and was team captain on the 2000 championship team. He is currently attending junior college and will assist with the A team.
Scott Droppelman: This will be coach Droppelman's 2nd year of coaching. He played high school lacrosse in Seattle , college lacrosse at Western Washington University, and club lacrosse with the Ol'west Mombosock, and Blue Collar lacrosse clubs in Seattle. He will be coaching the B team.
Pete Prescott: This will be coach Prescott's 1st year of coaching. He played for Coach Smith at Vashon and was an all division middie for three years. He also started for three years with the UW Huskies and is currently in graduate school at Pacific University. He will assist the A team.
Vern Smith: This will be coach Smith's 4th year coaching Maple Valley. He played high school lacrosse in Illinois, college lacrosse at John Hopkins University, and club ball with Chicago, Mt. Rainier, Duwamish, and Blue Fish lacrosse clubs. He was player-coach of Mt. Rainier for 4 years, coached the Bellevue High club in it's first year, and coached the Vashon High team for its 7th year. He will coach the A team.
Mike Sullivan: This will be Coach Sullivan's 2nd year of coaching lacrosse in addition to numerous years of coaching youth football. He will coach the B team. Wally Thomas: This will be coach Thomas' 1st year of coaching lacrosse. He is an experienced middie and defenseman, currently playing with the Tentawon lacrosse club in Seattle. He also brings with him experience in coaching and officiating wrestling. He will coach the B team.
